Apple fans and customers from across the globe have reacted en masse to the announcement of Steve Jobs’ untimely death on October 5th. Jobs, who had been battling pancreatic cancer for the past several years, passed away at his home in California following complications from the disease. Apple memorialized his passing with a short announcement of his death, and adding a photo of Jobs to their home page, along with his dates of birth and death.
